Bizzell is seeking a License Practical Nurse (LPN) to perform duties associated with the prevention of illness and promotion of good health in compliance with government and management directives in managing the student's needs and Job Corps goals and objectives. This position will be full-time and located at Guthrie Job Corps Center.
Responsibilities:
· Performs duties under the supervision of the Health and Wellness Manager.
· Responsible for ensuring doctor’s orders are followed in the Wellness Center and the care of all patients as prescribed.
· Maintains charts on all patients, compiles medical and dental records of terminated students.
· Notifies residential personnel of released patients.
· Maintains a record of all admissions and dismissals.
· Compiles various logs, records, and reports (i.e., wellness use, examinations, and medication use).
· Maintains a record of all calls to on-call medical personnel.
· Dispense prescribed medication.
· Assists with cursory examinations, sick call, and wellness care.
· Serves as an on-call nurse when schedules.
· Works to ensure performance management standards are met.
· Ensure that required property (equipment) controls are adhered to.
· Ensures that a clean and safe health facility is operated at all times.
· Monitors area of responsibility to ensure timely and high-quality services.
· Works toward meeting performance standards goals.
· Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
· Adheres to required property control policies and procedures.
· Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan. (QAP), Bizzell policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
· Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
· Demonstrates and abides by The Bizzell Group's core values and operating principles.
· Models, mentors, monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.
· Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.
· Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients and medical staff.
· High-level organizational skills when dealing with medical records and patient information.
· Ability to show patience and compassion when providing nursing services to patients who may have negative emotions.
· Detail-orientated to patient’s vital signs, dietary needs, medication schedules, etc.
Experience:
· One year of related experience and/or training is necessary.
Education:
· High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and a diploma from an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
· Current LPN license from the State, current BLS/CPR certification.
· Valid State Driver’s License.
