Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will work with an award-winning international architecture and engineering firm. As a local office employee, you will get to experience a “small office” feel while working with a large network of EXP professionals on a variety of project types and sizes.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Lead and prepare the production of project construction documents in coordination with multi-discipline project team of architects, engineers, and consultants.
Communicate and work in coordination with and in oversight of the Project Architect and/or Senior Project Manager.
Perform code reviews and meet independently with local code officials to review and determine specific local code requirements and project compliance.
Perform quality control checks of your team’s work before submitting to the Project Manager.
Meet with product vendors to review specific products to be incorporated into the projects.
Perform bid phase and construction phase tasks including site visits, review of shop drawings, responding to requests for information, issuing clarifications and maintaining meeting project minutes and files.
Help in the development of presentation documents and make design presentations to Clients and potential Clients.
Assist with Business Development in coordination with senior office personnel.
The Skills, Knowledge and Abilities We Seek
NAAB Accredited Bachelor or Masters Degree in Architecture required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Job Captain/Project Leader.
Detailed knowledge of architectural practice with emphasis client interaction, design development, and preparation of construction documents,
Working knowledge of specification preparation, building materials, coordination with construction costs, and building codes.
Experience with construction administration.
Ability to successfully balance client and PM expectations while meeting project deadlines.
Ability to work in a team & lead a team of designers across multiple disciplines.
Licensed Architect or working toward licensure through NCARB’s AXP program.
Must be proficient with AutoCAD.
Proficiency in Revit preferred with a working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketchup
