Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Electrical Test Technician for our client in Pleasanton! This is a 100% onsite, temp to perm position, working a Monday-Thursday 10 hour shift from 6am-5pm and a starting pay of $28 - $34 an hour based on experience.

Quality Assurance Test Technician

JOB SUMMARY

* Tests, inspects, or measures internally manufactured materials or procured products to verify compliance with Customer furnished engineering drawings and procedures.

* Completes associated documentation and reports.

* Makes entries in the QMS database

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Complete continuity testing (point-to-point wiring verification)

* Verify wiring workmanship (crimps and routing)

* Functional QC test - Hi Pot Test or Meg Ohm Test

* Power Wiring - Verify phasing is correct throughout the control panel and that wire sizing is sufficient for available overcurrent protection

* Perform 100% pull test

* QC - Torque & Torque Seal Applied

* Produce reports of inspection/test acceptance or non-conformance and make appropriate computer entries.

* Use programs in the computerized test machines

* Prepare materials for test applications

* Perform mechanical testing of test samples including operation of computerized screw driver test machines.

* Maintain full documentation of test program through pictures, notes, tables, charts, and computer printouts.

* Assist other personnel in the test department.

* Maintain test area, equipment, and test samples in a clean and orderly manner.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Able to read and interpret documents such as engineering requirements, safety rules, and quality assurance manual.

* Able to write routine reports and correspondence.

* Able to speak effectively.

REASONING ABILITY

* Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form with some assistance.

* Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
