The Research Scientist will co-lead and coordinate array microscope development, sample preparation system development, and evaluation of imaging performance. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, and in particular candidates with experience in optical microscopy (optomechanical hardware and/or instrumentation control) and/or translational clinical studies.

Ideal Candidate Statement:
The ideal candidate will have postdoctoral experience in optical microscopy and/or translational clinical studies.
This position is a one-year term-limited position funded by a grant, soft and/or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of funding.
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctoral Degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field
- 2+ years of postdoctoral experience

Essential Functions:
- Plays a leading role in specialized research and development of array microscope technologies
- Co-leads and coordinates development of array microscopes and sample preparation systems in support of clinical studies
- Participates in the preparation of instrumentation and software for clinical studies
- Analyzes data, evaluates imaging performance, and optimizes system parameters and diagnostic performance
- Communicates results through verbal presentations and written reports
- Interacts with clinical personnel and study subjects
- Performs all other duties as assigned
