The Research Scientist will co-lead and coordinate array microscope development, sample preparation system development, and evaluation of imaging performance. Ideal Candidate Statement:
The ideal candidate will have postdoctoral experience in optical microscopy and/or translational clinical studies.
This position is a one-year term-limited position funded by a grant, soft and/or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of funding.
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctoral Degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field
- 2+ years of postdoctoral experience

Essential Functions:
- Plays a leading role in specialized research and development of array microscope technologies
- Co-leads and coordinates development of array microscopes and sample preparation systems in support of clinical studies
- Participates in the preparation of instrumentation and software for clinical studies
- Analyzes data, evaluates imaging performance, and optimizes system parameters and diagnostic performance
- Communicates results through verbal presentations and written reports
- Interacts with clinical personnel and study subjects
- Performs all other duties as assigned
