Job Description Summary
The Cástulo de la Rocha College of Health and Community Well-Being (CHCW) is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member for our Masters in Health Administration Program for the fall term 2024. This is a non-tenure track position or a tenure track position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level depending upon qualifications and experience. The program is seeking someone who can teach health administration courses.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management, a strong commitment to excellence, and demonstrated ability in teaching and research. It is preferred that the candidate be active in professional health services organizations and associations. The Health Administration graduate and undergraduate programs have been offered at the University of La Verne for over forty years. The Health Administration Program is dedicated to developing scholarly practitioners throughout all sectors of the health services industry including private and public agencies. The CHCW aims to educate diverse, highly competent, and compassionate health professionals to meet the needs of 21st century health care and public health.
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background investigation. The hiring salary for this position is dependent upon qualifications and departmental equity.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate in healthcare management, health services management, public health, or a related field.
Applied knowledge of LMS (e.g., Blackboard, D2L, Canvas, Moodle).
Must possess strong skills and pedagogical acumen in the virtual and face-to-face environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior service in public sector or non-profit healthcare organizations is a particularly desirable qualification.
Graduate level teaching experience.
Virtual environment teaching experience.
