Responsibilities Sierra Vista Hospital, established in 1986, is a 170+ bed, full-service health care organization that specializes in psychiatric evaluation and mental health services for adults and adolescents.Located in Sacramento, California, Sierra Vista Hospital is a compassionate behavioral health facility and a center of support for adult and adolescent patients and their families. For over 35 years, Sierra Vista has offered clinical expertise to those suffering from behavioral health disorders or dual diagnosis. The private 171-bed facility is home to a clinical team of licensed professionals committed to providing the highest quality care and also provides inpatient alcohol detox and outpatient chemical dependency services. POSITION SUMMARY: The Controller is responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, cost accounting, financial analysis, accounts payable, providing oversight to the accounts receivables, managing the financial accounting/close and reporting process, completing tax packages, negotiate with vendors, bank reconciliations, and miscellaneous requests either from Corporate or the Institute for fiscal analysis and information. This position exercises independent judgement. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Education: · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance required, master’s degree preferred. Experience: · 3-5 years required. 5 years of healthcare finance experience. Job Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, bank reconciliations and accounts payable 2. Provide financial analysis 3. Provide oversight of accounts receivable 4. Responsible for the facility payroll and close 5. Manage the financial accounting close and reporting process 6. Complete tax packages 7. Responsible for vendor negotiation 8. Provide management of staff 9.
