Job Description
Responsible for the origination of LIHTC investments that will support the development of affordable housing/community and economic development projects across the country. Builds and actively maintains relationships with project sponsors, consultants, community stakeholders, lenders and other industry partners. Sources, structures, negotiates, and transitions LIHTC equity investments to meet Impact Finance’s production goals. Responsible for managing the credit quality of the transactions originated and advancing the set pricing strategy. Collaborates closely with various internal functions including Project and Asset management, Syndications, Finance, Lending, Business Impact and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) groups.
Basic Qualifications
- Typically a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically 10 or more years of financial services experience
- Typically three or more years of management or direct tax credit business development experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Master's or equivalent advanced degree in business, law, finance or accounting
- Advanced knowledge of and ability to communicate effectively about the LIHTC program, tax and accounting concepts, or partnership law
- Ability to bring an established affordable housing developer client portfolio to U.S. Bank, through years of experience cultivating relationships
- Bring strong relationships with you, and/or experience with raising capital from institutional investors in the affordable housing space
- Ability to identify obstacles and manage expectations, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated leadership presence and ability to problem solve and propose nuanced deal structures using technical expertise
- Strong customer relationship skills and effective collaboration across teams
- Ability to travel extensively to meet with project sponsors/developers/community partners/investors and attend industry conferences
- Prior sales or business development experience desirable
- Prior underwriting experience and proficiency in building and reviewing project financial models

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $165,325.00 - $194,500.00 - $213,950.00
