As a MI Outside Sales Representative, you will have responsibility for selling MI products through our dealer/distributor channel, promoting sales and margin growth and business opportunities while providing professional product expertise, business counsel and marketing advice to our dealers, architects and home builders.
Essential Functions:
- Provide first class service to existing accounts in prompt, professional manner.
- Establish and grow positive relationships through account management.
- Train account associates to sell and understand key benefits of our products.
- Keep sales management informed of any issues or potential issues with the customer.
- Monitor external competition within the account and provide regular updates and recommendations to sales management to maintain and grow market share.
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy to better serve the customer.
- Resolve customer complaints.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of the product line.
- Maintain stock integrity, negotiate returns and build strong rapport with account personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in Management, Marketing or related field; or a successful combination of education and experience to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers in territory.
- Ability to successfully manage customer expectations by providing superior service to each customer.
- Able to interface and communicate effectively with individuals with diverse backgrounds at varying levels of an organization.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
