Job Description: Quality Manager
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction to the laboratory team and oversee testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods using various testing methods.
Investigate and promptly address customer quality complaints, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
Serve as the management representative for ISO9001/ISO14001 systems, including chairing management review meetings and preparing reports.
Conduct lead audits and host customer/3rd party audits, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement.
Maintain and update internal procedures for incoming, outgoing, and analytical testing.
Prepare and manage PPAP submissions as required by customers.
Deliver training on quality systems, safety procedures, and technical aspects to staff as needed.
Manage supplier corrective action requests (CAR), raw material rejections, and claims.
Lead internal nonconforming and corrective action programs to maintain product quality.
Collaborate with suppliers and customers on quality-related matters to enhance satisfaction and resolve issues.
Complete performance management assessments for department personnel.
Coordinate with management on evaluations, purchases, and installations of new equipment.
May require occasional travel to other company locations or customer sites.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent experience.
Minimum seven (7) years of leadership experience in a quality role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Five (5) years of experience in the polymers industry is preferred.
Proficient in ISO 9001/ISO 14001 standards with Lead Auditor certification.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Ability to effectively lead, coach, and develop team members.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality management.
