Vituity
For nearly 50 years, Vituity clinicians have led the transformation of acute care. From some of the early efforts to create pre-hospital triage systems in the 1970s to the rapid scaling of surge hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic, Vituity clinicians and practice leaders are on the front lines of designing new ways to deliver care. Each year we deliver care across 450 practice locations to 8 million patients. Our culture and philosophy are grounded in a commitment to making healthcare quicker, more effective, and more accessible at hospitals and health systems across the country. Today, our industry is facing threats to hospital sustainability while beginning to feel the impacts of looming physician shortages. At the same time, health systems are caught in the middle of a decades-long drive for efficiency while building hospital surge capacity on the fly. Throughout these challenges, the needs of our patients have never been greater. In 1971, Vituity is founded as California Emergency Physicians by Roy Stambaugh, MD, as a loose affiliation of physicians providing emergency medicine services to hospitals.
