Vehicle Mechanic/Welder
Providing direct support with our customer to assist in sustainment of the Amphibious Combat Fleet. There will be no travel associated with the assigned with this task. There is always the opportunity to stay based on need or other task being assigned. Applicant must be a certified welder and possess a mechanical aptitude.
Skills Preferred. •Communicate with FSR: Per needed Vehicle repairs (Welding), Repair times. •Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting project. •Sourcing needed materials to be used in project, thru FSR lead (supplies). •Measuring, cutting, and grinding materials to specifications. •Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together. •Assure all repairs are completed blueprints, standard repair procedure instruction sheets, per company policies.
Minimum Education/ Experience: High Scholl Diploma or equivalent, or relevant Associate's degree, or military school training;4 years'work experience in the mechanical/electrical/electronic field of relevant military products. Knowledgeable in the operations of and proficient in Maintenace activities and troubleshooting of the Amphibious Combat Vehicle. 2141- ACV Repairer. 1316-Welder, (or equivalent), Most be certified as welder.
Must currently possess a Class A CDL license or be able to attain one. •Most currently possess a welder's certification. •Must currently possess a Secret clearance or be able to attain one. Physical Requirements: •Regularly required to sit, move about, and reach with hands and arms. •Frequently required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. •Frequently required to lift up to 50 Lbs.
