Job Description:
- Support application development, prototyping, modeling, and high-level technical design.
- Act as a lead on projects, assigning tasks, deliver training, mentoring, and coaching to team members.
- Provide guidance to the project team on high level design, ensuring that the design/solution is consistent with the approved architecture.
- Participate in technical discussions and provide recommendations or solutions.
- Developing software solutions by studying organizational needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
- Ensuring that Best Practices for development activities (e.g. code reviews, unit testing, etc.) are followed throughout the project life-cycle.
- Demonstrating ownership of problems, issues, or requests from start to finish and facilitating appropriate handoffs.
- Collaboratively work with all other IT Teams to identify Win/Win opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Championing and influencing technology decisions with business partners, IT management and Team members on matters concerning multiple complex projects which requires negotiating while maintaining effective relationships.
- Engaging with Enterprise and Application architects to promote collaboration on the development of solution architecture.
- Reviewing architecture and ensuring alignment with accepted architectural principles and the strategic roadmap.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Position may be eligible for full-time telecommuting. Position may be performed from anywhere in the U.S.
Job Requirements
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Information Technology Management, or related discipline plus three (3) years of experience in a software engineering occupation. Experience must include:
- 2 years of experience working with Java, JavaScript, python, HTML and CSS;
- 2 years of experience working with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, or similar container technologies);
- 2 years of experience deploying application solutions;
- 1 year of developing experience with REST APIs;
- 1 year of experience with code repository GIT and Bitbucket; and,
- Demonstrated knowledge** of software design principles.
Or
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent* in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), Information Technology Management, or related discipline plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a software engineering occupation. Experience must include:
- 4 years of experience working with Java, JavaScript, python, HTML and CSS;
- 4 years of experience working with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, or similar container technologies);
- 4 years of experience deploying application solutions;
- 3 years of developing experience with REST APIs;
- 3 years of experience with code repository GIT and Bitbucket; and,
- Demonstrated knowledge** of software design principles.
*Any combination of education that has been evaluated by a professional credentials evaluation service to be the equivalent of a U.S. degree will be accepted. **Demonstrated knowledge may be demonstrated through education, experience, or training. References Required.
40 hours per week 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $116,000 - $174,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
