Sr System Administrators, internally known as Sr Analyst, Infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with a diverse team to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Provide IT systems administration in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server fundamentals to include but not limited to Active Directory & DNS.
Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.? Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of low to moderate scope.
Install and configure software applications requested by end users. ?Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 5% travel.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of experience with the following:
Windows 10 Desktops installation, configuration, and maintenance
Windows Server 2016 & 2019 installation, configuration, and maintenance
Systems deployment, administration, performance tuning, and monitoring
Operating system & software patching
Must have current and maintain a U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Critical thinking – ability to solve technical problems independently and with collaborative teams
Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods highly desired.
Experience with Imaging Windows desktop systems and familiarity with MDT
Familiar with configuring storage such as NetApp or HPE storage
Experience with HPE & Dell Server architectures.
Familiar with security compliance applications such as Ivanti, Splunk and Tenable Scanner
Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
Experience with SCAP/STIG scans & checklists
In-depth working experience in Windows Server
Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience
Experience with NetApp configuration and maintenance
Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
Experience with Imaging Windows desktop systems and familiarity with MDT
Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification
Experience with Microsoft WSUS, Certificate Services, & Exchange

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
