Interface with computer users to provide exceptional Information Technology support.
Perform computer systems duties, maintain system documentation, set up and terminate user account.
Perform additions, moves, and changes to the District's computer systems.
Assist in the preparation, organization, processing, and general administrative functions concerning purchase orders, vendor invoices, and contracts.
Coordinate maintenance and repairs of computer equipment facilities.
Create, maintain, and distribute user and operational documentation as required.
Maintain inventory of District computer hardware and software.
Coordinate, schedule, and conduct training sessions and seminars as required.
Respond to requests from computer users regarding hardware, software, or network connection problems or questions.
Prioritize requests or problems according to established criteria and enter relevant data into a computerized user-request tracking system.
Resolve problems or provide "how-to" instructions using a variety of online monitoring and diagnostic software tools, reference manuals, vendors, and on-the-job experience.
Refer the more difficult problems or non-routine requests to other technical support staff or supervisors.
Place service calls with vendors and coordinate service for the user.
Advise users of the on-going status of their request, and place follow-up calls to ensure that satisfactory service was provided.
Assist with computer training functions, such as providing feedback to instructors on common problems/questions, preparing training materials, or scheduling users for classes.
Review records to check hardware/software inventory, update service calls, and verify or modify user identification records.
Update and revise reference materials and work procedures.
Learn the functions and operation of new products, systems, or equipment by attending training, watching tutorials, or through self-instruction.
Produce basic statistical or work-activity related reports by generating computer queries or gathering and assembling data.
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with the District safety work-related practices and attend relevant safety training.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of office/field employees and management. Represent District in a professional manner when dealing with outside suppliers and customers. Ability to explain, demonstrate and clarify to others within well- established policies, procedures, and standards, as well as the ability to follow specific instructions and respond to simple and difficult requests from others.
Mathematical Ability
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages, fractions, and decimals.
Technology Ability
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Office 365. Keyboarding abilities sufficient to perform the duties of the job.
Judgment and Situational Reasoning Ability
Ability to use good personal judgment and discretion in performing all job functions. Must be self-motivated and have excellent oral/written communication skills. Must be organized with the ability to multi-task and make decisions independently.
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit, bend, stoop and stand. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Environmental Adaptability
Noise level is generally equivalent to a typical office environment. Ability to work in an environment, which may expose employee to hazardous materials, and environment. Occasional visits to equipment rooms and construction sites where noise level may be higher than typical office environment.
