Position: Accounting Supervisor
$1.5B healthcare company in search of a high performer with management experience.
Schedule: Mostly in-office (with some flexibility) Compensation: Up to $125k + 10% bonus bonus 8% 401k match
Overview:
This team handles financial reporting for the entire organization, down to the operational level. The position oversees revenue and operations accounting teams.
This role directly manages a team of 5 individuals, including day-to-day and performance management.
The supervisor oversees the 5-day close and reviews all balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining a hands-on approach.
Additionally, heavy budget/actuals analysis is required, with responsibility for identifying the reasons behind fluctuations, including tracking down answers directly from the relevant business units/teams.
Management/team responsibility:
Responsible for overseeing 4-5 staff members, including 3 senior team members.
While not requiring extensive direct coaching, this individual will be accountable for the team’s management and development.
Requirements for the role:
5 years of experience (2 in public, 2 in-house)
Supervisory experience highly preferred (a Senior who hasn’t formally managed but has coached/mentored would be considered)
CPA not mandatory at this level but highly preferred
Fun Facts:
Very manageable hours with rarely more than 40 hours/week; occasional stretches to 45 hours, but infrequent.
