As part of the Environment Art team, you will channel your knowledge of concepting, modeling, and texturing to help tell stories through visually compelling environments. Working closely with designers and technical constraints you will build optimized environments that enhance the purpose and mood of the game. Your craft expertise and eye for structure, form, shape language, and design will help build fantastic new worlds for our players to explore.
As a 3D Environment Artist Lead on Teamfight Tactics, you will bring gameplay to life through your vision, craft, and leadership. You will help create an artistic vision, aligning with Game Design, Production, Engineering, and Art to ensure that vision is compatible with the goals of the product. You will create a healthy Environment Art team, advocating for their artistic, and professional growth. Your work in sculpting, composition, lighting and color will set the bar for your team.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Expert in Art with an exceptional ability in creating assets in many crafts with a special attention to 3D Based Art (Environment & Character)
- Help establish and raise the bar of quality across a small project by managing the work and artists
- Able to collaborate with other disciplines and achieve goals while maintaining Artistic Direction
- High proficiency in next-gen engines such as Unreal and Unity
- Understands and articulates product style and helps drive and maintain it
- Mastery in light, value, composition and color both in evaluation and production
- Proven mastery in creating quality artwork in relevant software (Photoshop, Maya, Zbrush, AE)
- Strong attention to detail with an eye to evaluate and identify quality
Responsibilities:
- Execute to a high quality while supporting team leadership in operational efforts
- Strong participant in team adopted work systems, rituals and artifacts
- Collaborate on Creative and complex assignments with other disciplines
- Amplify artistic capabilities while maintaining efficient and sustainable memory and performance
- Reduce ambiguity in a problem space through rapid discovery and prototyping
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience working as an 3D Artist in games or related industries
- Proficiency with Maya, Photoshop, and Unreal, with strong experience working with various game engines from licensed to proprietary
- Expert experience working with modeling, sculpting, texturing programs such as Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop
- Highly proficient communication skills and capacity to act as an ambassador for Art in a small multi-disciplinary team
