Role Description:
Core Category Growth Responsibilities:
Ensures merchandising of Saks.com is aligned with best practices and executed in a timely manner (ex. navigation, product array, search results, features items, linking strategy, etc) and partners with Site Merchandising teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize site experience
Supports with Division Lead and Manager/Sr.Manager of Category Growth in analyzing data and reporting insights of the business to business stakeholders along with actions to achieve business objectives
Works closely with Digital and Integrated Marketing teams to execute the merchandising strategies within marketing plans and assists with evaluating the effectiveness for the category
Analyzes onsite customer journey, promotional data to provide timely insights and recommendations to identify areas of opportunity or to scale experience
Partners closely with Buying & Planning teams to understand key trends, receipt investments, and shipment tracking
Supports with various projects within Category Growth which demonstrates proficiency in site merchandising capabilities and operational knowledge
Fields ad hoc requests, present findings and proactively deliver recommendations that inform strategy. Synthesizes large data sets into digestible takeaways that drive action
Reporting and Analysis:
Complete reporting on category array performance, runner and bummer, and product finding methods analysis
Complete ad hoc reporting as needed
Summarize key waitlist trends for buying teams to chase
Summarize preorder business and backorder risks
Identify underperforming styles to action on
Site Merchandising:
Array maintenance: Boosting/un-boosting for features, search rank, promos, sales performance; new arrivals, and gift guide; in-grid tout maintenance, Brand and curated array merchandising
Pull skus for all major promotions to ensure promo styles are properly merchandised and shared with media team
Support curation ideation for curated arrays through creation of mood boards & selecting products within shops
Review curated shop analyses to identify opportunities to prioritize skus/categories/brands.
Execute linking strategy for site content, email, navigation, and DAPS
Create syntax linking for creative briefs
Execute monthly & ad hoc top navigation updates
Create Promo and PA Banners and Tout set up
Audit key product finding methods (category arrays, search, top nav, site content, etc) to ensure accuracy and relevancy
Support with quarterly taxonomy and refinement updates
Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of digital retail experience and demonstrates an understanding of luxury retail and customer experience. Experience working in an ecommerce role preferred
Demonstrates eagerness to learn and contribute to business objectives through thoughtful analysis and flawless execution
Showcases the ability to take initiative and be flexible in a fast-paced environment while ensuring alignment to business priorities
Desire to drive growth with the ability to think outside of existing limitations
Demonstrate curiosity and the ability to identify operational efficiencies
Effectively and efficiently collaborates with cross functional team members such as Buying & Planning
Must be detail oriented
A self-starter, possessing strong time and project management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have proficiency with Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and v-lookup) and capacity to learn new systems swiftly. Experience with Adobe Analytics, Looker and Salesforce Business Manager preferred
