The Gelson's Kitchen Dishwasher employee is an integral part in the Gelson's Kitchen. As an entry level Dishwasher employee, you will be responsible for washing and sanitizing all kitchen related dishes, pots and pans, and utensils as well as perform general cleaning of equipment and food prep areas. The Dishwasher also must maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
This position is also responsible for receiving, organizing and rotating products and may occasionally asked to provide customer service. The Dishwasher is also expected to assist with light food preparation. Although not needed, experience within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred. The Dishwasher position is an entry level position where all necessary functions will be trained.
Opportunities for growth include, but are not limited to Counter, Salad Bar, Hot Foods Chef or Wolfgang Puck Chef.
Physical requirements: Continuous hand manipulation including, grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation Reaching above and at shoulder level Standing up to 5 8 hours per shift Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Driving moving equipment (Forklift / Power jack) Working near hazardous materials Exposure to dust, gas, fumes and cleaning solvents Exposure to extremes in temperature (Coolers, ovens, hot water)
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.50
