OVERVIEW:
To assist the Division and vendors with all aspects of donor relations, donor cultivation, and gift stewardship for an assigned caseload of Mid-level Donors, with a goal of increasing Major Gift Donor prospects and income within the region. The fundraising region includes San Fransisco, Silicon Valley through Monterey County.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and maintain a relationship between caseload donors and The Salvation Army (TSA) through program updates, calls, emails, cards, appreciation notes, and gifts to caseload donors
Create donor acknowledgments and receipts
Call and thank donors
Connect with caseload donors and provide information regarding local programs and results
Cultivate donor relationship with TSA
Respond to donor inquiries
Send new donor welcome kits
Invite donors to special events and tours
Maintain updated records on donors in the database
Document relevant details about the donors gathered from conversation and research in the donor database
Provide monthly reports on giving patterns to reflect upgrades, conversion, and retention rates
Refer Major Gift prospects to Donor Relation Directors
Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Experience in data entry
Experience in marketing
Experience in customer service
Experience with Microsoft programs
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Great communication skills
Personable
Ability to work independently
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)
