Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the accurate and efficient engineering and design of mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will perform entry to intermediate-level aspects of engineering assignments and collaborate with senior engineering staff to extend and leverage their expertise.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BS in Mechanical Engineering).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
5 or more years of demonstrated experience with mechanical design in the building and construction industry (experience determines compensation).
Valid Ohio state driver’s license required.
EIT/PE license preferred but not a must-have.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the accurate and efficient engineering and design of mechanical systems.
Performs design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work as required by assignment.
Reviews drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, and architects and recommends necessary changes.
Researches code issues and collaborates with city, state, and county officials.
Researches design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.
Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices consistently to all assigned projects.
Prepares and completes engineering designs responsive to project and customer needs.
Employs appropriate engineering standards according to applicable codes as directed.
Actively checks the accuracy of own work prior to forwarding to Engineer for review.
Assists with the management of engineering projects as assigned.
Coordinates project assignments with other engineers and technicians in the discipline group.
Assists with the coordination and preparation of design details, plans, and drawings within assigned task areas to complete projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements.
Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Participates in conducting project site observations.
Assists with gathering data required for the project and neatly prepares all required logs, sketches, and documentation in a timely manner.
Serves as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams as required.
Observes project progress on-site and manages the relationship with project contractors.
Keeps abreast of engineering developments to recommend changes in program or design methods.
Provides technical reviews of work products produced by any firm employee upon request.
Participates in the development of service line methodologies and produces informative white papers outlining work processes.
Actively participates in all company meetings and training sessions.
Keeps accurate records of time and expenses on a daily basis.
Maintains a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail programs in use in the office.
Maintains a record of acceptable attendance and punctuality.
Observes all company rules and safety procedures.
Salary Range:
$75,000- $100,000
Shift and Hours:
Monday- Friday
8 AM- 5 PM
