Must have excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares and bakes bread cakes pies pastries or similar.
Mixes and proofs doughs or batters bakes according to directions or recipes and decorates if required.
Cleans and sanitizes cooking tools or utensils or food preparation areas.
Maintains equipment and appliances. Follows appropriate food safety and handling policies.
May clean and sanitize mixers bowls pans ovens and or other materials used for baking purposes or storage of baked goods.
Regularly monitor color of products being baked and make adjustments to oven temperatures and other settings to achieve the correct baking level.
Makes certain that bakery products are safely handled and stored in a sanitized manner.
Processes specialty orders for customers which includes decorating cakes and other bakery items as requested.
Check to ensure that baking equipment complies with health and safety regulations.
Tracks and records inventory; rotates stock of bakery items to ensure freshness of products and changes price labels as directed.
