Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Windows Engineer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.
The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Responsibilities
Performs advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex Server OS related issues to ensure optimal performance and availability of Windows Servers.
Upgrades outdated servers to 2016, 2019, and 2022 versions to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Utilizes extensive vSphere Operations experience to effectively manage and maintain our virtualization environment. Familiarity and experience with OVF Templates for efficient deployment is required.
Utilizes GitLab and Operating System pipelines for template creation, ensuring streamlined and efficient deployment processes.
Moderates background in SCCM/ConfigMgr with experience in application/package creation and deployment. Experience in Software Update Group (SUG) creation and deployment is necessary.
Setups, manages, and deploys monthly patching for Windows Server 2012-2022, ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure.
Qualifications
Clearance Required: TS/SCI
Degree and Years of Experience: BS/BA and 5+ years of relevant experience
Required Skills:
Strong experience in Windows Server administration, including operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in upgrading servers to 2016, 2019, and 2022 versions, with a focus on compliancy requirements.
Extensive knowledge of vSphere Operations, including management and deployment using OVF Templates.
Experience with GitLab and Operating System pipelines for template creation is highly desirable.
Moderate background in SCCM/ConfigMgr, including application/package creation and deployment, as well as Software Update Group (SUG) creation and deployment.
Proven ability to perform setup, management, and deployment of monthly patching for Windows Server 2012-2022.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex Server OS related issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global, multi-site enterprise environment.
The position requires an intimate familiarity with Group Policies (GPOs) and Active Directory (ADUC) with experience in other Microsoft related Administration Tools to perform day-to-day duties.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of security products such as HBSS, Nessus Agent (ACAS), and Carbon Black.
Perform IAVA remediation and STIG hardening on OS Server builds.
Develop and deliver documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for both new personnel as well as Operations staff to utilize for troubleshooting purposes.
Complete Incident and Change Request tickets utilizing BMC Remedy IT Service Management and/or Service+.
Desired Skills:
Background/experience in PowerShell in order to automate tasks a plus.
