Baseline requirements (all candidates):
Minimum 10 years’ experience in STRESS | Focus should be in AIRFRAME stress
NOT tooling, systems, general interiors, satellites, pods, etc.
Strong COMPOSITESexperience & knowledge needed. We are full-up on static METALLIC knowledge. Focus will be on hiring strong composites engineers
Preference given to those candidates with HYPERSIZER experience, but HyperSizer not required
Preference given to those candidates with FEMAP experience.
Experience in aircraft or spacecraft composite fabrication, design, and analysis processes
Knowledge of composites manufacturing and sizing of composite structures using FEA models, including pre and post processing of NASTRAN models and associated sizing of composite structures.
Proficiency in FEMAP.
Experience with free-body diagrams and classical stress analysis techniques. Hand calc exp. Hypervisor exp.
Hands-on experience with composites part fabrication and assembly processes a plus.
Pilot, aircraft homebuilding and rapid prototyping experience a strong plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA are highly desired
Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems, such as Oracle, is a plus Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR º120.15)
Minimum 8 years or more of applicable experience in the analysis of structural systems using strength of materials and finite element-based methods
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline
