Investment Strategy Group (ISG)
The Investment Strategy Group works with advisors and clients to help create an exceptional overall investment experience by ensuring that every client receives world-class investment advice that can help generate superior and consistent returns.
The Tactical Asset Allocation team (TAA) within seeks to generate tactical alpha for clients’ portfolios by investing across macro asset classes (equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities). In addition to its investment mandate, the TAA publishes several widely distributed reports and Outlooks each year, and is responsible for disseminating and communicating macro investment views to the firm’s clients.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Support the Head of the Investment Strategy Group and Head of the Tactical Asset Allocation within the Investment Strategy Group in client meeting preparation, interviews, and GS events.
- Meeting preparation requires co-ordination with PWAs on behalf of the Wealth Management Chief Investment Officer for the purpose of providing meeting briefers prior to client meetings.
- In addition, it requires working with all members of the TAA team to gather their latest economic and market views.
- Build, regularly update and maintain ISG’s key presentations on macroeconomic views and investment recommendations used for client meetings.
- Keep up with data releases and macroeconomic and market events.
- Manage requests and questions from private wealth advisors (PWA) and their teams.
- Attend investment conferences and meetings and summarize the key takeaways for the team.
- Support the Head of the Investment Strategy Group throughout the process of preparing the Investment Strategy Group’s Annual Outlook report.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent)
- Advanced degree in finance or economics and/or CFA a plus but not required.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to co-ordinate, oversee and prioritize multiple projects and requests.
- Intellectual curiosity.
- An understanding of finance, markets and investing.
- Ability to maintain Excel models and build basic Exhibits/tables using financial data (Eg. Equity return performance, summary of forecasts across different asset classes). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent academic track record
- Comfortable taking initiative and work independently.
- Highly motivated
- SIE, Series 7 and 63 required (must be obtained within three months of employment)

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $75000-$115000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
