Job Description Summary
The SGA President is responsible for overseeing all operations of the Student Government Association, including oversight of the Executive Council and all external initiatives. This position will provide direct administrative support to the SGA President and Executive Council and assist with a variety of internal and external projects.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Scheduling meetings and coordinating events
o Responding to inquiries and crafting forms and documents
o Conducting research, updating databases, and organizing information
o Assisting with external initiatives, ordering supplies, and working on other projects as assigned
o Recording minutes at weekly Senate meetings
Required Qualifications
Attention to detail, self-motivation, professionalism, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organization skills, as well as a positive attitude and a passion for SGA and Chapman University.
o Federal Work Study award
o Major in accounting, business, economics, or related field
o Experience in a campus club or organization or SGA
o Knowledge of or experience with campus policies and procedures
