About Our Client
Our client is a vertically-integrated builder/developer specializing in multifamily projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic. These projects include luxury apartments, mixed-use buildings, and more worth up to $200M+. They have nearly half a billion dollars in their pipeline for 2024/2025 and are looking to grow their team as a result. They are looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their Baltimore, MD team.
Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager - Construction Builder/Dev -Baltimore will be responsible for:
Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and timelines in coordination with the project manager and stakeholders. Monitor progress and update schedules as necessary to ensure project milestones are met.
Resource Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources needed for construction activities. Assist in managing subcontractor relationships and performance.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Support the project manager in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Assist in preparing cost estimates, change orders, and project forecasts.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the project team to ensure that construction work meets quality standards and specifications. Assist in conducting inspections and quality control checks to identify and address any deviations or deficiencies.
Risk Management: Assist in identifying potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery, safety, or budget. Work with the project manager to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and correspondence. Assist in generating progress reports, meeting minutes, and other project-related documentation as required.
Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination between project team members, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders. Assist in organizing and conducting project meetings, ensuring that action items are documented and followed up on.
Safety Compliance: Support the project manager in implementing and enforcing safety protocols and regulations on the construction site. Assist in conducting safety inspections, training sessions, and incident investigations as needed.
Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and construction methodologies. Seek opportunities to enhance project processes, workflows, and efficiency.

The Successful Applicant
The Assistant Project Manager - Construction Builder/Dev -Baltimore will have:
3+ years of experience in construction as an Assistant Project Manager with a General Contractor
bachelor's degree in construction, architecture or related preferred
experience assisting on projects worth $20M+
excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
strong organizational skills
good computer skills
