As the MRI Technologist you will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. You will:
·Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders ·Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed ·Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations ·Perform accurate image archival ·Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media ·Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient

Job Qualifications

Licenses
ARRT, CRT – required. MR certificate required
OR
ARRT, ARMRIT (MR) – required
Venipuncture certificate – required
BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required
Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program – required
AA or BS – preferred
At least 1 year of MRI experience – preferred
Siemens experience – preferred
Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies
Ability to identify contraindications for exams
Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills
Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)
Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology
Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
