Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Attribute Impact Group in the Department of Attribute Sciences is seeking a Process Development Scientist to investigate the impact of key product quality attributes on the safety and efficacy of biotherapeutics.
Responsibilities:
Perform cutting-edge research that evaluates the impact of attributes on various quality aspects of drug products using a combination of protein chemistry, immunology, and physiology.
Apply knowledge throughout the drug product development life-cycle to develop novel therapeutics to treat a variety of diseases.
Serve as a biotherapeutic attribute subject matter expert and interact with and support project teams across Amgen sites.
Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at national conferences.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree PhD OR PharmD OR MD [and relevant post-doc where applicable]
Master’s degree and 3 years of scientific experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of scientific experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MS in Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology or Immunology
Extensive experimental experience: immune and cellular assays, mammalian tissue culture (i.e. human PBMCs), 3D-cell culture/organoids, analytical methods, and molecular biology techniques
Knowledgeable in protein biochemistry, biology, biotherapeutics, antibodies, and drug product attributes
Independent, creative, strong leadership skills, team-oriented, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate in cross-functional environment.
Highly innovative and able to design and execute new assays/technologies.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
