To succeed in this position, you must be a subject matter expert in a broad range of security topics ranging from strategy and planning, governance and management, to protection, detection, mitigation, and cyber and military operations. You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills to present your findings, make actionable recommendations, and present innovative ideas to the Senior Government Sponsors.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Advise sponsors in developing and acquiring trustworthy secure cyber physical systems
- Develop engineering trade analysis for cost, performance and scalability for systems security capabilities
- Provide technical analysis to program managers for Critical Design Reviews, Program Management Reviews, Independent Technical Review Teams, and engineering document reviews
- Research and develop unique, cutting-edge technical capabilities and processes assessing systems and technologies for resilience and security
- Serve as systems security and cybersecurity subject matter expert (SME) to stakeholders and collaborators
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in a STEM field and 8+ years of experience in systems engineering , or, equivalent combination of related education and work experience
- Have knowledge of security technologies: e.g., cryptographic, cross domain, IDS/IPS, network analysis, endpoint protection, Splunk, ELK
- Must have at least DoD Secret clearance
- Have experience conducting security capability assessments
- Have experience conducting security vulnerability assessments
- Documented success working in highly collaborative environments
- Must have excellent writing and communications skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS or PhD degree in STEM field
- 12+ years of experience in engineering DoD weapon systems
- Space operations experience
- Cyber-defense operational or engineering experience
- Reliability or safety engineering experience
- Familiarity with model-based engineering tools and methods
- DoD TS/SCI clearance
