The Application Support and BI Analyst will provide maintenance, administration and support of legacy application and processes, which would include bug fixes in the code, patching, migration, environments setup, providing user support and similar activities. The person will be responsible for documenting the existing application and process to facilitate and support the efforts for legacy application and processes conversion to modern BI oriented solution. The person will act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to answer the technical questions and provide input to team members as needed.
The Application Support and BI Analyst will also support the Analytic Solutions team in its analysis and development of reporting and analytics solutions for UCLA’s electronic health record (EHR) system. Organize complex clinical, financial, and administrative data from multiple sources, using standard programming methodologies, databases, and business intelligence tools to synthesize results into meaningful information on a regular basis.
Job Qualifications

At least 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare organization. - Required
Equivalent experience in a programming/analytic/information systems role, with an emphasis on SQL programming. - Required
One or more Epic Clarity Data Model certifications. - Preferred
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. - Required
Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional judgment and discretion in interacting with physicians and senior management on sensitive political and confidential issues. - Required
Knowledge of current issues in data management and SQL particularly in a healthcare environment including quality measurement, outcomes studies, healthcare finance, and patient safety. - Preferred
Proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database management and business intelligence software. - Required
