Infrastructure Design and Build
Manages and maintains Cisco UCS Chassis and associated Blade Servers as well as bare metal installation and configuration
Manages and maintains System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Conducts multiple levels of testing prior to release of system updates.
Creates design documentation for existing, new, and changing infrastructure environments
Installs, configures, maintains, and replaces new and existing VMWare virtualization infrastructure (e.g. servers, storage, networking)
Systems Management
Performs troubleshooting/issue resolution, escalating issues to appropriate 3rd party vendor.
Performs root cause analysis, resolving problems identified.
Analyzes system performance and performs preventative maintenance, providing maximum availability of physical and virtual servers (e.g. new releases, upgrades, installation of patches).
Works towards providing a fully redundant, high availability infrastructure.
Performs warranty tracking and maintenance.
Performs business continuity and disaster recovery testing.
Provides technical support and consultation to colleagues and customers as needed
Change Management
Works with delivery teams to review and assess impact of proposed changes.
Contributes to technical aspects of key change documentation.
Ensures the capacity, availability, security and service support requirements are considered in all technology infrastructure changes.
Implements, tests, and monitors technology infrastructure changes in line with change implementation plans.
Ensures technology infrastructure changes meet agreed service acceptance criteria.
Maintains asset and configuration management records. Works with technology teams to set up monitoring thresholds and alerts
Architecture Vision and Direction
Assists with the development of the infrastructure roadmap.
Participate in on-call escalation chain as well as any scheduled after hours or weekend scheduled maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year accredited college or university in a related field or equivalent combination of training, certifications and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certifications:
Engineer level certifications in one or more of the following; Storage, Virtualization, Server Systems, Hyper-converged systems
Associate level certification in one or more of the following; Windows, Linux, Security, Business Continuity, Project Management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Undertakes moderately complex tasks.
Actively works with less experienced engineers and technicians providing technical guidance and oversight.
