The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security division is seeking an experienced Senior Program Management Specialist to join our Spectrolab team. Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, is the world's leading merchant supplier of the Highest-Efficiency Multijunction Solar Cells for Spacecraft Power Systems, with proven reliability drawn from 65 years of space heritage.
Spectrolab's state-of-the-art space solar cells and panels power satellites in Earth's orbit, as well as the International Space Station. Since its founding in 1956, Spectrolab has led the way in the development of high-efficiency solar cells for space missions. Spectrolab has demonstrated its enduring technological leadership by being the first company to place cells on the moon (Apollo 1969), on the surface of Mars (Rover 2004), and orbit Jupiter (Juno 2016).
As an experienced Program Manager, you will join our Program Management Organization, reporting to the Vice President of Solar Products. Your role will be to provide business, technical, and integration leadership for the development and execution of photovoltaic programs at our manufacturing facility in Sylmar, California.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead programs and integrated product teams (IPTs) to ensure focus on program performance, situational awareness, risk and opportunity management
- Responsible for customer interactions and engagement
- Manage program Estimates at Completion (EAC), Earned Value, maintain program schedule, and ensure programs are in compliance with quality and contractual requirements.
- Partner with business development and marketing on short and long-term customer strategies and proposals, to keep current business sold and enable new business wins
- Coordinate across functions on cost and margin improvement, holding team members accountable to commitments and ensuring successful, timely outcomes
- Focus on lean, continuous, measurable improvement to achieve delivery certainty on high-quality products to customers
- Provide role modeling and mentoring for team members, encourage knowledge sharing and skill growth
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a project and/or program manager
- Minimum of 3 years of experience cross-functional leading teams
- Experience utilizing business and financial acumen to manage risks, issues, and opportunities to drive performance
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and/or suppliers
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and executing operating rhythms, integrated program schedules, project plans, and performance metrics
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience working in the space photovoltaics industry
- Experience in Operations and/or Production
Typical Education / Experience (for non-management and hourly):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)

Salary Pay Range: $115,600 - $156,400
