Objective and Primary Responsibilities / Summary
The Warehouse Work Experience Trainee is a temporary work experience position that provides the participant an opportunity to learn the basic tasks and skills of the position. Participants are placed at a variety of work sites and each experience is unique in skills attainment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilizes safe practices to properly assist drivers with loading and unloading of bins.
- Creates loads for drivers as assigned.
- Load and unload trucks/trailers. Segregating goods and trash.
- Ensure all items are marked correctly and placed in the correct location.
- Sort recyclables in proper containers (metal, plastic, cardboard, etc.).
- Learns and operates under supervision basic warehouse equipment following established standard operating procedures and guidelines. (i.e. pallet jack, hand truck, furniture dolly).
- Clean, organize and sweep the warehouse to ensure a safe environment.
- Ability to lift and carry min. 25 lbs.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- This position is a temporary position.
