Job Abstract

Provides direct nursing care including assessments, care plan, education, and evaluation for assigned patients. Performs patient duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care as well as coordinates the delivery of care provided by other care team members and disciplines.

Wound Healing Center Only

• Formal hospital orientation
• Non-violent crisis intervention training annually

• Completion of Emergency Nursing Course within 90 days of hire
• Completion of pediatric specific continuing education  (16 hours) every two years in compliance with EDAP certification

• Prior Emergency Nursing experience preferred
• Completion of NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. class

Hematology/Oncology Only

Required:

• Current California RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years Oncology experience in hospital and or office based setting required.

 Preferred:

• Current chemotherapy preferred
• OCN preferred

Maternal Child Care Only

Required:

• Current California RN license
• Evidence of continuing education
• Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education in Maternal-Child
  Care as appropriate for clinical specialty
• Current AFM, ACLS, CPR and NRP care as appropriate for clinical specialty

NICU Only

Required:

• Current California RN license
• Current BLS and NRP care as appropriate for clinical specialty

Radiation Oncology Only

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science Degree and have a current CA RN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

 Preferred:

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
• Previous Radiation Oncology nursing experience.
• One year experience in the care of oncology patients.
• Spanish bilingual skills to communicate effective with patients and families.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.

Wound Healing Center Only

Required:

• Registered nurse with current California license in good standing.
• Two years experience in acute care nursing helpful.
• Experience in ambulatory care setting highly desirable.
• CPR certified.

 Preferred:

• Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
