As our Division Administrative Partner, you will provide oversight and management of administrative and business functions for assigned divisions/programs within the Department of Surgery. Reporting to the Division Administrative Manager with a dotted line to the Division Chiefs, your major responsibilities include monitoring, analyzing, and helping to support divisional performance, including but not limited to: financial, academic, research and strategic productivity.
In this role, you will work closely with Division Chiefs and administrative leadership (e.g., Human Resources, Finance, Research, Operations and Analytics) to monitor and analyze performance metrics, recommending and implementing improvements as directed by Chiefs and/or Department Leadership. You will also review and approve divisional purchasing requests; recruit, supervise, train, and evaluate divisional administrative staff, coordinate staff and faculty recruitment, onboarding and off-boarding with Department Academic and Human resources office, assist with extramural and research funding budget oversight (if applicable) and complete other strategic projects as assigned.
Salary range: $61400.00-$121400.00 Annual

A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in an academic school of medicine department.
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience interpreting financial (contract and grant, gift/endowment, ETC) information, developing reporting systems, identifying trends, and developing recommendations.
Working knowledge of management principles and their applications in order to analyze, develop and maintain systems which enhance administrative effectiveness.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or relevant field strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationship with Administrative, clinical and academic personnel.
Accept ambiguous circumstances and take action where answers to a problem is not readily apparent.
Demonstrated ability to use diplomacy and respect confidentiality in sensitive situations.
Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in assignment, pressures of deadlines, competing requirements and heavy workload.
Skill in personnel management including selection, training, delegating, performance appraisals, discipline and resolution of contracts.
Demonstrated skill in organizing material, information and people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort.
Organizational skills to complete large projects, delegate work, reassign duties; revise procedures, plan and project divisional and Chief’s needs.
