The Better Practice Solutions Team supports UCLA Health Clinics’ mission to deliver leading-edge patient care by providing reporting and analytics, promoting operational excellence, and helping to ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care.
As an integral member of the Better Practice Solutions Team, the Consultant will work closely with leaders across UCLA Health’s Ambulatory Enterprise to help drive efficiency and effectiveness of clinical operations. Using deep insight and operational expertise, the incumbent will work with leaders to monitor access, efficiency, and productivity of UCLA Health practices. When areas of opportunity are identified, the OBP will partner with leadership to develop, execute, and assess performance improvement plans using tools such as PDSA cycles and Lean methodologies.
The incumbent will help inform and implement UCLA Health’s Ambulatory Strategy by monitoring and reporting out to Senior Leadership on operational metrics such as referral leakage, patient demand, and utilization patterns for assigned service lines/areas.
This position will partner with FPG Finance to report and interpret operational drivers of financial performance in order to ensure the operational excellence of clinics and practices.
Salary range: $36.83-$72.27 Hourly
Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (MHA, MBA, or equivalent degree preferred)
3-5 years of relevant operations experience in a large healthcare delivery system
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools (SQL experience a plus)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Lean, six sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies (certification preferred, but not required)
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physicians, senior executives, and other leaders
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Abilityto organize, prioritize and complete work in a timely manner despite manydeadlines and competing priorities
