Job Abstract

In the position you will overseeback-office staff, educational requirements for all staff, and manage day today back-office operations. In collaboration with the Cardiology ClinicOperations Manager, you will be accountable for the clinical and dayto day operations of the clinic.

• Autonomously provide directoperational oversight for the clinic in the absence of the Clinic OperationsManager, and provide leadership and direct supervision, monitoring, andevaluation of the clinical and administrative clinic staff.
• Responsible for coordination of clinicalservices for the staff, adherence to personnel policies and procedures.
• Provide continuous quality improvement for the clinic andcreate a culture of teamwork to ensure successful and efficient dailyoperations, interdisciplinary collaborations, and the timely achievement ofdepartmental and University objectives.
• Coordinate with the Clinic OperationsManager in hiring, recruiting and retention of qualified personnel;establishing departmental goals; and systems management of human, financial,and physical resources with autonomy.
• Manage resources and oversee compliancewith internal policy and external regulatory agencies, and contributes to strategicplans and policies
• Maintain anenvironment that aligns with organizational objectives in promoting qualitycare and patient satisfaction, as well as working to manage systems andprocedures to protect departmental assets.
• Develop, oversee, and implement departmental educational efforts to ensure compliance as set forth by theDepartment of Nursing, Department of Cardiology Services, and AmbulatoryNursing.

Salary Range: $98,700.00 - $244,500.00/ Annually

Required:

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• CARN License
• BLS required.
• Knowledge of Liver Transplantation and General Surgical patient population.
• Ability to supervise and provide leadership and direction to the clinical staffin accordance with organizations and departmental goals and objectives.
• Ability to complete a nursing physical assessment with strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to apply a broad knowledge base to act effectively to coordinate and assess patient care and act as a liaison with nursing staff, outside agencies, team physicians, referring physicians, patient and family.
• Ability to represent the Medical Center in site visits and review by managed care, insurance groups, and regulatory entities.
• Ability to provide a leadership style that demonstrates principles of time management, conflict resolution, problem-solving and delegation.
• Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters
• Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork
• Knowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues
• Excellent organizational skills, proficiency in meeting deadlines, ability to work independently and prioritize workload. Ability to manage numerous concurrent tasks in a high stress environment and deal with change.

Preferred:

• Master's in Nursing
• Two-yearprevious charge RN or leadership experience required, two-years preferred.
• Ambulatory clinic experience
