Job Abstract

The Senior Public Administrative Analyst will perform the role of the “Regional Technical Assistance Coach” for the All Children
Thrive- California initiative. All Children Thrive is a large-scale innovation initiative designed to transform public health planning
efforts to adopt population health and ecosystems thinking to promote healthy life course development. The Regional Technical
Assistance Coach will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and operational learning of specific project
activities of the All Children Thrive initiative.

This position will entail: writing, editing, helping to design and maintaining the project communication materials; developing and
maintaining partnerships with a variety of individuals and institutions; writing proposals; organizing and/or leading conference calls, meetings, conferences, and webinars.

This position will be involved in technical assistance coaching activities related to the project. This position requires a sophisticated
level of knowledge about child health systems, and the rapidly changing local, state, and national policy environment. Additionally, as a Regional Technical Assistance Coach, applicants must be versed in: standard and innovative organizing strategies; education and health systems management structures; as well as city government roles and responsibilities. In addition to one on one technical assistance coaching, this position will also be responsible for facilitating learning exchanges across partner communities and cities. This position requires engaging with a variety of national and local experts as well as high ranking elected and appointed officers. The position will participate in recruitment of the participating sites, assist with the testing and implementation of protocols for engagement, including a readiness assessment, technical assistance with community engagement activities, policy development, and supporting cross-sector community coalition building. This position will assist sites with how to develop systems for assessing the effectiveness of strategies they implement and in implementing evaluation protocols.

This position will entail developing and maintaining partnerships with a variety of individuals and institutions, organizing and/or leading conference calls, meetings, conferences, and webinars. This position will be involved in outreach, recruitment and engagement activities related to the project. This position requires a sophisticated level of knowledge about the child health system, and the rapidly changing local, state, and national policy environment. This position requires engaging with a variety of leading experts and other high ranking individuals.

The Regional Technical Assistance Coach must have excellent communication and writing skills, including the ability to complete
succinct briefs as well as lengthy reports. The Regional Technical Assistance Coach may be asked to provide administrative, research, policy analysis, and/or writing and editing support to other Center projects as needed/available. The position requires sophisticated expertise in interpreting a variety of data sufficiently to support communities’ ability to understand and interpret local data to inform policy and practice. The Regional Technical Assistance Coach will also perform other related duties as directed by the Director and/or Project Managers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in supporting and promoting changes in practice, policy and/or community level change efforts. This position will require frequent travel (50-75% of the time) across the state for coaching and technical assistance activities.

Target Annual rate: $61400.00-$121400.00

Required:

• Proficient using MicrosoftOffice software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel to project sitesand meetings, as needed
• Strong writing skills,including being able to compose professional emails and documents
• Ability to work independentlyas well as with a team
• Organizational skills andflexibility to allow for multi-tasking and transitioning smoothly betweenvarious research and administrative projects and duties as needed

• Demonstrated ability toanticipate scheduled project timeline requirements and respond with action thatallows implementation in a timely manner
• Excellence in handling multipleprojects and changes quickly and effectively
• Ability to travel to meetingswithin the United States
• Basic understanding ofqualitative and quantitative data analytical techniques, methods, and tools
• Prior experience working incross-sector collaborative initiatives.
• Prior experience leadingtechnical assistance and coaching in any of the following areas: early childdevelopment, public health, education, child-welfare, and social justice
• Experience supporting evaluation activities including data collection, program reporting, interviews, and/or survey Completion

Preferred:

• Graduate degree in PublicHealth, Education, Policy/Public Administration, Social Welfare, or relatedfield and interest in child health
• Strong understanding of child and family healthpolicy and systems
• Prior experience withorganizing webinars using WebEx, GoToMeeting/Webinar, Zoom, or other similarprograms
• Strong communication skills,including being able to communicate in a friendly and effective manner
• Prior experience with writingreports for funders
• Experience with supporting teams with Continuous Quality Improvement methods
• Familiarity with communities of practice, learning networks, collaborative innovation networks, place-based initiatives
• Familiarity with Mental Health Services Act (Prop 63)
