As a member of the Menzies Aviation GSE Administrating team you will consult with operations and GSE organizations to determine equipment requirements. The administrator analyses the market and delivery conditions and utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains Minimum Equipment Lists (MEL) for each station and contract in accordance with contract requirements, service level agreements, flight counts, financial efficiency, etc
- Tracks and monitors efficient allocation of GSE assets across the network, and for reallocation as necessary from time to time as business conditions/contracts/MEL requirements change
- Supports the procurement and allocation of all types of company owned and operated ground service equipment, from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity
- Reviews new business proposals from a GSE perspective to determining and /or propose procurement methodology including new purchase, lease or redeployment of existing assets
- Reviews and submits proposals for modifications to vendor or manufacturer
- Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures
- Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
- Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications
- Negotiates with vendors for purchase and/or lease of equipment and/or machinery
- Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area
- Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
- Pass pre-employment physical test and drug screen and all other pre-employment testing
- Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
- Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
- Excellent computer skills Word, Excel, Outlook; as well as comfortable around new platforms.
- Minimum five (2) years related experience in equipment maintenance.
- High school graduate or evidence of equivalent education supplemented with college level.
- General PC skills, focusing on excel and word required.
- Understanding of operational planning and resource allocation.
- People management skills required.
- Ability to read and interpret management level documents.
- Must be flexible to work all hours/days including nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by operational requirements.
- Must be able to pass a ten-year background check as required by US customs.
