ROLE SUMMARY:
The VP of Operations partners cross-functionally throughout the organization to effectively optimize workflows and productivity for the Company’s manufacturing and distribution arms. The successful incumbent is a proven leader who is proficient at building culture as well as processes and structures to support fast growth and scalability. Reports directly to the COO.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE: (QUALIFICATIONS)
- Able to motivate and inspire a team to achieve results while promoting our happy, hungry, focused culture
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of management experience in a senior operations role with a complex reporting structure
- Lean manufacturing experience in cannabis, food or beverage processing, or a highly regulated and fast-moving consumer goods environment is preferred
- Proficient with ERP systems
- Keen ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Organized and able to meet multiple competing priorities
- Change management knowledge and capabilities
- Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and systems-oriented point-of-view
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Good verbal and written communication skills
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: (ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Provide direction, coaching, and development of direct reports
- Evaluate existing processes and rapidly help optimize operations
- Design and build new processes and structures
- Drive internal continuous improvement initiatives by identifying metrics and measurements and creating a process to assess performance, performing SWOT analysis and utilizing other analytical approaches to propose changes/new approaches
- Troubleshoot and lead department enhancements regarding supply chain, manufacturing and distribution issues as they occur
- Coordinate, monitor, and adjust production requirements cross-functionally, working closely with production, supply chain, and distribution to enhance production efficiency and flows
- Create and implement automation solutions
- Analyze production capabilities and outputs for current and new products and make recommendations on internal vs. external options considering ROI, QC, speed-to-market, capabilities, etc.
- Forecast, schedule and plan for production and supply chain management for current and proposed new products by working strategically with key leaders
- Ensure production requirements are executed successfully and deadlines are met
- Assist with development and management of operations budget
- Develop processes to manage 3rd party co-manufacturers
- Maintain start-up mentality with a willingness to roll up sleeves, collaborate for the greater good and build something bigger than ourselves
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift, push, pull up to 25lbs
- Able to stand and walk for 8+ hours per day
- Able to work on a computer for 8+ hours per day
- Able to climb ladders and work at significant heights if needed
- Clear verbal/written communication skills
- Able to work in a variety of environments including office, warehouse, outdoor farms, etc.
