AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Archaeology Technician for immediate employment for the Los Angeles, CA office. The Archaeological Technician is primarily a field position and is engaged in archaeological and cultural resource projects throughout Los Angeles County. This position is variable part-time and work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Conducts field work as assigned as part of a project
Conducts and compiles background research
Assists in the processing and analysis of historic and/or prehistoric artifacts
Assists in writing regarding findings
Assists in report preparation
Assists in developing presentations for clients

High School Diploma
Archaeological field experience including reconnaissance, survey, testing and site mitigation in the Western United States
Must be willing to travel locally to conduct field work
Computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office
Strong oral and written communication skills
A valid driver's license is required
Minimum of one year of experience in archaeological monitoring is preferred
Cross-training in paleontological field techniques preferred
