POSITION SUMMARY:
The Food & Beverage Distribution Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse staff and managing received inventory, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, disposable wares, and food items. This position requires a strong understanding of food and beverage inventory management, including weights, portions, stocking, rotation, food quality, grades, and standards. The Supervisor is also responsible for issuing inventory to F&B Operations staff and conducting monthly inventories. The role includes maintaining and organizing all warehouse space.
POSITION DUTIES:
Warehouse Staff Supervision: Supervise warehouse staff and drivers to ensure efficient operations.
Inventory Management: Account for all products and materials received and issued from the warehouses, ensuring accuracy and resolving variances.
Receiving & Storing: Receive and store products according to procedures established by the Purchasing Director. Properly rotate and monitor the storage of products.
Product Issuance: Issue F&B products to Kitchen Managers, Location Managers, and Food Service Managers based on requisitions. Maintain close communication to ensure timely deliveries.
Database Entry: Enter all issues and receipts into the inventory database.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee F&B equipment, schedule repairs, and order new equipment when necessary.
Returned Products: Receive and store products returned from retail and catering locations according to procedures. Return excess stock to vendors for credit where applicable.
Inventory Preparation: Supervise staff in preparing daily inventories for beverages, dry goods, and equipment as requested by Purchasing Managers.
Monthly Inventories: Prepare and calculate monthly inventory totals in C-Bord.
Inventory Forms: Create and maintain accurate inventory forms in C-Bord.
Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas per established procedures.
Safety & Equipment Operation: Safely operate all equipment used at the work location. Secure work and storage areas at the end of each shift.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with personal safety, sanitation, and health code standards.
Rules & Regulations Compliance: Follow all Catering by SMG appearance, attendance, and conduct rules.
Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of F&B Operations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires the ability to problem-solve and interact with staff at all levels.
Hours and weekly schedule vary due to function needs.
Employee will be required to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to tolerate loud noise and temperature fluctuations in the work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
Food Handling & Storage: Knowledge of proper food handling and storage.
Inventory Control: Experience with inventory control and databases.
Work Performance: Ability to follow directions and perform required work efficiently.
Calculator Skills: Ability to operate a 10-key calculator.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, and lift for reasonable periods.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and understand English.
PC Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Personal Qualities: Must possess a pleasant personality and maintain a neat appearance.
