The Center Administrator functions as a manager for the operational oversight of the Tarjan Center, this includes day to day decision making and development of procedures to assure that short- and long-range goals are being met. The Center Administrator provides high-level managerial support to the Tarjan Center and liaison between faculty, staff, and trainees and the Center. The Center Administrator plans, implements, and leads the strategic initiatives; serves as the main advisor to the Director and Executive team; and implements and manages the plan and communicates recommendations, goals, and objectives to the executive team; oversees the financial, space, and equipment resources; and the data and grant progress reporting for the Center’s contracts and grants.
Pay Range: $31.20 - $49.77 hourly

Demonstrate advanced skills in working independently with minimal direction, with the ability to make independent judgements and/or decisions and to discern when action of higher level
Demonstrate program and event management skills, while working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues.
5 or more years of demonstrated experience in communications, stakeholder relations, program management, and community outreach.
Outstanding verbal, written and intrapersonal communication skills with the ability to write and produce persuasive correspondence including emails, letters, reports, proposals, websites, and marketing materials.
Ability to negotiate challenging situations with diplomacy to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
Excellent analytical and research skills, including data analysis and interviewing skills, as well as creative marketing and problem-solving skills.
Excellent relationship skills with proven experience establishing successful, long-term relationships with individuals, community partners and state and federal agencies.
Familiarity with academic institutions and the research process, including tools and resources for knowledge translation and converting research into practice.
Demonstrates ability to manage multiple responsibilities, deadlines, and personalities and ability to foresee and resolve a wide variety of business problems and act where answers to a problem are not readily apparent.
Proven skills in engagement, project planning, program design and communications.
Strategic planning and proven ability to lead high profile projects with minimal supervision.
