Summary:
Develops, coordinates and monitors comprehensive system and Institute level marketing strategies for Summa Health System. Mentors, and in some cases manages other marketing associates and coordinators. Serves as a system liaison and consultant in the development and implementation of marketing objectives, strategies and tactics for Institutes and services. Analyzes and evaluates marketing performance measures and outcomes and recommends changes to optimize Summa’s competitive position.
Formal Education Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business , Finance or related field of study
- Masters Degree preferred
Experience & Training Required:
- Seven to ten (7-10) years of marketing experience in product line marketing, marketing principles, research, customer analytics, and program development required
- Experience and working knowledge of complex healthcare delivery systems, primary care and managed care.

- Strong problem solving and analytical approaches to problems with recommended solutions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, customer service, and leadership skills
- Proven experience in new program development and "start-up" operations planning
- Ability to work well within a team environment, work well with physicians, department directors, staff, businesses and community on health care issues; ability to build consensus.

- Ability to use sound judgment in making decisions involving hospital policies and act independently within general guidelines
- Excellent oral and written skills, along with the ability to provide recommendations/problems resolution and present the results are a must.
- Knowledge of financial analysis for a complex medical delivery system a must
- Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
