Position summary
T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Senior Manager, Software Engineering Full Stack located in Bethesda, MD will build, develop, and support a team of full stack engineers, focused on creating, deploying, managing, and supporting a full stack end to end solution.
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work closely with product teams across multiple initiatives to design solutions as per business requirements.
Foster the career growth of the team by seeking challenging, impactful work for all members based on their skills and interests.
Provide technical guidance where needed.
Track technical debt and advocate for its retirement.
Provide support for the engineering team by removing roadblocks and ensuring the team has everything they need to deliver high quality software quickly.
Provide high level estimates and designs to the product team for sprint planning.
Ensure consistency in coding standards and guidelines used by all members in the team.
Identify the right candidates for the team and work with recruiting partners to bring them on board.
Actively work to engage and retain engineers and establish the right mix of talent and experience on the team.
Engage in team member development, coaching and performance management.
Proactively ask for feedback and continue to develop as a manager and leader.
Responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
Skill requirements:
Working with mobile app development using Objective C, Swift, Java, Kotlin, and Flutter.
Using the full mobile app development lifecycle, from ideation to release and maintenance on the App Store and Google Play Store.
Managing cross-continental software development teams.
Building high-performance, reliable, and secure backend solutions in Python.
Estimating, project planning, and onboarding of engineers, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
Working with third-party technology providers to integrate their solutions.
Experience and education requirements:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and 7 years of relevant work experience.
