The Operations & Channel Strategy team, as part of the Total by Verizon (TbV) Exclusive Distribution organization, orchestrates TbV strategic programs and initiatives from conception to execution, ensuring channel readiness and operational excellence.
As the Channel Mgmt - Associate Director, you will oversee the Program Management, Go to Channel, Executive Support, Sourcing, and Budget planning & management functions within the Total by Verizon exclusive distribution store channel. You will lead a team responsible for strategic planning, management, and execution of these various functions while developing forward looking strategies aligned to the long term goals of the business.
This leader will directly influence the development of Total by Verizon Exclusive Distribution’s operational objectives and principles to achieve our long term strategic goals for the channel. This leader will make decisions for day-to-day business needs as well as long term strategic decisions in partnership with channel leadership.
In this role you will:
Lead a team owning the Strategic Program, Go to Channel, and Financial strategies and roadmap for Total by Verizon Exclusive Distribution.
Be responsible for all decision making within each function for the channel, using functional subject matter expertise and conceptual thinking skills.
Own and manage the larger, comprehensive channel strategy threaded together across the Exclusive Distribution channel teams, ensuring delivery of key metrics and alignment between the various teams.
Oversee and coordinate end to end ownership of complex channel level initiatives with the focus of driving expansion and profitability of Total by Verizon stores with limited oversight and direction
Accountable to scope, define, and introduce Go to Channel, Budget, and Strategic Program processes and procedures while identifying potential risks & providing transformational opportunities for the channel.
Own organizational level initiatives, working with various levels of Verizon Value leadership, including creation of senior executive level presentations by leveraging data insights & business acumen.
Develop and implement leadership governance related to key strategic initiatives and functioning of the organization & its team members.
Oversee and own all aspects of the organization’s budget and spend, including both strategic development of future budgets and focused execution against current budget.
Lead cross functionally with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure functional alignment with channel priorities & long term goals. This includes, but is not limited to, Finance, Sourcing, Accounting, Brand Management, Go to Market, GTS, PMO, etc.).
Consistently deliver high quality work that fully addresses the intended criteria, goals, and objectives.
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing to stakeholders, team members, and leadership.
In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days (in-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) ?
What we're looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Program and / or project management experience.
Experience leading a team or having indirect/direct reports.
Willingness to travel, approximately up to 25% or less.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
An MBA, or an M.S. in a related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, VLSS certification in Green Belt or Black Belt.
Experience working with external partners and/or vendors.
Advanced executive presentation skills including creating content and associated backup materials.
Understanding of the financial planning and management process at Verizon.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with changing and evolving roles and responsibilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
A team player orientation collaborating well with others.
A passion for delivering exceptional experiences to partners and consumers.
