Job Summary
Supervisor/Lead coordinates the activities of personnel engaged in meeting or exceeding the delivery of service mandated by the company, customer, and contractual requirements. Highly motivated individual that can supervise and motivate operational personnel. Provides technical guidance as required.
Responsibilities
Ensures work is progressing according to contract requirements and in compliance with established standards related to safety, security, and other personnel related matters.
Train and mentor employees in performance of their assigned duties.
Assist General Manager, evaluate performance standards of assigned employees.
Coordinate activities of staff and customers relative to specification changes, modifications, and quality assurance.
Monitors adherence to good housekeeping, safety regulations and takes appropriate corrective actions to correct unsafe work practices or hazardous situations.
Minimum Requirements
HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Electrical training and experience in an industrial environment or minimum 1 year experience as maintenance mechanic
Flexible work schedule for 24/7 operations
Valid driver's license
Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge
Preferred Skills
Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven ability to manage and motivate personnel.
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, i.e., Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and days off.
Ability to read, write and fluently speak and understand the English language.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Employees work in the assured management areas of baggage, at repair stations, in and around jetbridges, or at airfields and often must meet strict deadlines to maintain flight schedules.
Employees will be working with and exposed to the baggage handling system, jetbridge, mechanical parts, and vibration.
Employees may be exposed to various noise levels due to aircraft engines and equipment.
Employees bend, lean, and frequently reach ladders and scaffolding.
Employees are required to regularly speak and hear.
Employees are often required to reach with their hands and arms.
Employees may be required to perform a variety of activities that could include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and climbing throughout their day.
Employees frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds with the help of teammates.
Employees will lift parts and tools for long periods of time and handle equipment such as transportation systems.
