The Entertainment CityWalk Coordinator will have an overall awareness and expertise for CityWalk technical operations as it pertains to the audio, visual, and lighting needs throughout the CityWalk property. This part-time, on call position,
will include responsibilities for procuring, programming and refreshing media content street-wide. Must have a high level of understanding with all technical systems such as audio, lighting, large outdoor LED screens, encoding etc. Previous experience as a house Technical Director is a plus but not required. This person has a strong passion for live music and entertainment and will work weekdays and weekends. Will work closely with CityWalk Management and external clients to deliver world-class experiences for our guests
Responsibilities:
Coordinate between internal and external vendors
Accommodate special requirements i.e. dubbing, recording concerts
Provide technical guidance as House TD, ensure that pre-established system/event parameters are being adhered to.
Responsible for all gear in Control Room, understanding all of the functions and capabilities of the equipment and being able to explain the same to people with varied levels of technical knowledge
Develop intimate knowledge of the control systems and how to optimize their use for a variety of events.
On-site operation of systems during concerts and events
Operate cameras & scrolling marquee reader board during live events
Conduct routine street-wide technical inspections, ensuring lighting and audio are functioning within CityWalk, 5 Towers, Owned and Operated venues, and marquee screens.
Request and supervise system maintenance, including necessary repairs and upgrades
Troubleshoot operating issues and out-of-the-box thinking with updating processes
Track the accumulated list of needs and desires for the audio and lighting systems
Work hand-in-hand with the system provider and programmers to understand the features, parameters & latest technology
Technical support for the street performers within CityWalk and within Owned and Operated Venues.
Request and receive new media content
Digitize, encode, label and catalogue new media
Create revised music and video playlists and update weekly
Back up server, media and playlist data
Search and file old media
Shoot and edit customized spots
Nightly oversight of the street performers within CityWalk and Margaritaville
Skills/Knowledgebase:
Strong communication - Interfacing with bands, street performers, producers, production companies, USH creative, marketing, production and entertainment departments
Must be organized and have excellent follow up skills
Must be familiar with current trends, music and pop culture and be able to present ideas with CW Management
Requires an understanding of modern audio and video codecs, pixel aspect ratios, and encoding schemes
A critical eye for color accuracy, contrast, video noise, and anomalies
A critical ear for audio compression, noise, and anomalies
Understanding audio and video hardware inclusive of amplifiers, audio processing, audio visual patching, HD cameras, live video switchers
Understanding differences in operating systems and formats between Windows and Mac
Knowledge on Media Matrix and AMX systems (Preferred but not required)
