The person hired for this position will be expected to teach 10 graduate courses per academic year. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in psychotherapy and supervise at the Loyola Clinical Centers. The successful candidate must also be able to hold dedicated office hours, advise graduate students, and participate in additional department service.
Required Qualifications
(1) Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related mental health discipline, with subject matter expertise open; (2) the ability to teach graduate-level courses in theories of psychotherapy, principles and practices of psychotherapy, models of psychotherapy, and clinical supervision; (3) prior teaching experience and evidence of teaching effectiveness; (4) the ability to create a sense of inclusion and belonging in the classroom, and to infuse multicultural content into course material as appropriate; (5) strong commitment to excellence in teaching, including an appreciation of or engagement in high-impact teaching practices; and (6) ability to contribute to the Jesuit educational mission of the department and university.
