As the Sr. Director of Produce and Floral, you'll be responsible for two departments and will have a significant impact on the company's success.
Your essential duties will include but will not be limited to:
Leadership: Lead and inspire the produce and floral teams to achieve the company's objectives and goals.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive departmental strategies to drive growth and profitability.
Effective Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication with the team, supporting their roles and responsibilities daily.
Industry Representation: Act as the industry ambassador for our brand in produce and floral.
Innovative Approach: Continuously seek new products, programs, and merchandising to enhance our customer experience and attract a wider audience.
Financial Analysis: Analyze inventory, pricing, margins, shrink, and gross profits to make data-driven decisions.
Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and growers, negotiating product programs.
Promotions and Marketing: Collaborate with the Marketing Department to promote products and communicate value to our customers effectively.
Store Support: Work closely with store-level teams to optimize space, improve impulse purchases, and achieve departmental goals.
Market Insights: Keep abreast of local competitive activities and market conditions to stay ahead of the game.
Problem Solving: Address any issues or matters related to vendors, stores, customers, or departments promptly and effectively.
Reports and Reviews: Prepare weekly/monthly reports for Executive leadership review and stay on track with departmental objectives.
Requirements:
Previous experience in produce and floral operations management required.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
